Training Days

If you had to go to the dentist, would you rather have your tooth pulled by someone who had read the theory of tooth extraction, or by someone who had done it before?

If you are looking for a dynamic trainer who believes you ‘learn by doing’ and who makes learning lively and fun, look no further!

No-one snoozes off during endless Powerpoint slides in my workshops…they’re too busy thinking, debating with other learners, coming up with ideas, planning, practising and performing tasks. And all my workshops are based on actual workplace experience, not just theory, but are full of specialist knowledge too.

I’ve worked with a broad range of organisations within the voluntary, community and charity sector in a variety of demanding roles, including: Chief Executive, Project Manager, Training Manager, Trainer, Development Worker, Trustee, Newsletter Editor, Volunteer Manager and Fundraiser and also have a extensive experience as a ‘front-line’ volunteer.

I specialise in running lively, ‘hands-on’ courses in:

  • • Train the Trainer
  • • Chairing and Facilitation Skills
  • • Effective Meetings
  • • Listening and Communication Skills
  • • Presentation and Public Speaking Skills
  • • Leadership, Motivation and Team Building
  • • Volunteer Recruitment and Management
  • • Effective Writing for Newsletters and Reports
  • • Writing Successful Funding Applications
  • • Understanding Outcomes-based Evaluation

So, goodbye lacklustre training, hello enthusiasm! Get in touch if you’d like to book me to lead a course.
