In 2021−23 Deb was winner of the Gwobr Esyllt Harker Award for Women Storytellers in Wales, jointly with musician/storyteller Ailsa Mair Fox. The prize celebrates the talent and contribution of a woman storyteller in Wales. With the prize cames a commission to support the creation of a new Storytelling show. Secrets and Silences was performed at the Beyond the Border International Storytelling Festival in 2023 to a standing ovation.
